From You To Them collects quality pre-loved clothing and shoes from people and businesses across the GTA and gives them, free, to families who need them through partner food banks. Families choose what they need, so every visit protects dignity and choice, and every item reused stays out of landfill.
Who we are
We're a registered Canadian charity with a dual mission: to uplift people facing hardship and protect our environment. We bring dignity to children, women, people with disabilities, and those in poverty through recycled and new clothing, shoes, and necessities — keeping pre-loved items out of landfills.

Partner food banks across the GTA receive your gift, and families pick what they truly need.
We value your items and send you a tax receipt. Monetary gifts keep the work running.
$5/mo reaches ~12 people a year; $100/mo reaches ~240. Small, steady giving drives most of our impact.
How it works
1. You donate
Sort clean, gently used clothing, shoes, bags and accessories into bags. Book a pickup or bring them to a drop-off day.
2. We collect and sort
Our volunteers pick up, sort and value every bag. Donors who ask for one receive an official tax receipt.
3. We bring it to food banks
We set up racks and tables at partner food banks in the GTA, so families can find clothing where they already get support.
4. Families choose
People browse and pick what fits them, like a shop instead of a handout. Nothing is sold, and nothing goes to waste.
Who we are
From You To Them was founded in 2023 and held its first distribution in June 2024. It is run by a volunteer board of directors with the help of community volunteers. Our directors work directly at pickups, sorting days and distributions.

Ways to give
Monetary gifts (one-time or monthly) and material gifts (clothing and shoes) each receive a tax receipt within 4 to 6 weeks. Gifts of money and gifts of items are receipted separately, and we issue a tax receipt for gifts valued at $20 or more.
A gift of clothes is more than a material gift — it comes from the heart. We take care of it, show you where it went, and send a tax receipt for your generosity. From You To Them, with care.
No need to price your items. Tell us what you're donating — we assess eligible items for tax-receipt purposes.

For material gifts only
We can arrange a weekend pickup for packages of 20 items or more in the GTA, or help arrange a drop-off. We welcome voluntary financial contributions of $20 or more to help cover our operating costs, and a separate official donation receipt will be issued for monetary gifts. Tell us what you're giving — no need to price your items. We assess eligible donations and issue the tax receipt.
